Are You Considering Deeper Practice?
For those who seek to discover greater depths of practice, full-time study of meditation in a residential training environment has been encouraged for millennia. There are many training-focused communities thriving in the United States and abroad.
These practice centers vary in intensity, location, style of practice, schedule, and fees. Some practice centers are located in major cities and allow residents to carry on full-time work in addition to maintaining a committed meditation practice. Others are cloistered deep in the wilderness.
If you are looking to deepen your practice but don’t know how, you have come to the right place. Dharma Gates offers a donation-based advising service for people in any stage of life who seek to deepen their practice or are considering entering residential training or monastic life.
Our Advising Program is straightforward:
We set up a time to speak with you 1:1 to learn more about you, your interests and your aspirations.
We connect you to resources to deepen your practice
We help you discern which factors are important in choosing a place to begin monastic training or deepen your practice
If residential training is right for you, we draw from the expertise of our staff and advisory board to recommend one or several practice centers. We recommend only centers that we know to be trustworthy and are compatible with your background, aims, and interests
