Journey to Inner Worlds

Everyday experience is full of activities of the body and the mind. It's where we live, and yet, understanding the body and the mind and their inter-relationship is not easy. Thoughts, emotions, physical pleasures and challenges, all demand our attention. However, the skill with which we apply our attention makes all the difference!

During this four day meditation retreat, Ayya Dhammadipa will guide practitioners in applying their attention to the framework of the five aggregates - the body and four aspects of mind as they are described in the teachings of early Buddhism. We will investigate the body as both a vehicle for experience and a natural source of stability for the mind. We will also investigate the integral awareness of the mind, as distinct from thoughts, and various ways that the mind processes contact with the environment.

This silent retreat will include periods of guided sitting meditation, walking meditation, Dharma talks, and chanting. There will also be time periods to meet with Ayya to ask questions and discuss what is coming up for you during the meditations.
